Thursday/Friday, October 15-16 - Fly to Myanmar. Our trip starts from RDU, flying to JFK, then on a flight for 14 hours to Beijing, China. By the time we arrive, it is Friday. An hour later, we leave Beijing for a 5 hour flight to our destination. It will be a long day. Please pr@y for our luggage to follow us, for rest on the flights, and G*d’s protection as we travel.

Saturday, October 17 - Fly to "L", visit a children’s orphanage that Westover is helping to build in "Y N" village. We will have games, harmonicas/ rhythm instruments, and a skit, telling the story of His faithfulness through the Ark-builder. Our goal is to encourage the staff as well as the children. Pr@y for these children, who have lost parents and home, and the staff serving them.
J@mes 1: 27 “This is pure and undefiled religi*n in the sight of our G*d and Father, to visit the orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.”
Sunday, October 18 - We will attend ch*rch where we will m¡n¡ster in song, share our test¡mon¡es and bring the morning message. Then we will drive to "M". We are taking a winding 7 hour trip, down a valley and then back up the valley to get to an airport for our next city. Please pr@y for safety on this road and our van driver. Pr@y for our health and stamina on this particular day, and how we can serve one another. Pr@y today for our team coordinator, "Jemmie" today. Pr@y for her physical, emotional, and spiritual health. She is such a ble*sing to us.
Heb 10: 24 - 25 “Let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds…encourage one another, and all the more, as you see the day drawing near.”
Monday, October 19 - Fly to "M", meet the pastor Rev L. K., other pastors, m¡n¡stry leaders, and orphanage caretakers. We will be working out of the "L" B¡ble School and Sem¡nary, alongside the Grace Haven orphanage. Monday afternoon we hope to start our work projects: English teaching (3 of us) health training (5 of us) and simple furniture construction classes (1 of us). Pr@y for our transition, that we will be able to enter this time of ministry with hands to serve, and hearts filled with His joy!

Tuesday October 20 - Pr@y for us as we start teaching English to sem¡nary students from 8 am until 9 pm. There will be three classes each day (sem¡nary students, high school students, elementary students). The health clinics will be in the mornings, health teachings in the afternoon. Pr@y for our interpreters as they help us communicate. Pr@y that we are sensitive to cultural differences and can share the hope of Jesus in our teachings.
Deut 31:6 “Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the L*rd your G*d is the one who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you.”
Wednesday, October 21 - We will continue teaching English to students, health clinics in the mornings, and health teachings in the afternoon. Pr@y for our team unity as we work together, and encourage one another. Pr@y for our strength and endurance as well as our health. Pray that we do not grow weary and we continue to shine His light.
Eph 5:20 - 21 “Always give thanks for all things in the name of the L*rd J*sus to our G*d, even the Father; and be subject one to another in the fear of the L*rd.”
Thursday, October 22 - Thursday’s M¡n¡stry- teaching English to students, clinics in the mornings, health teachings in the afternoon (topic: woman’s health issues) Pr@y for those we are serving, the orphanage workers, the B*ble school and sem*nary students, and those in the villages.
Josh*a 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Friday, October 23 - Today is our last day to teach and share. We will do our final work with English training, health clinics in the villages, health teachings in the afternoon (topic: diabetes and high blood pressure). Pray for wisdom as we evaluate what we need to complete, and how we can continue to encourage the ministry projects we leave. Pr@y for the relationships we have built, and those there that are growing in their relationship with the L*rd.
Eph 3: 20- 21 “Now to Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be the glory in the church, and in Chr*st J*sus to all generations.”
Saturday, October 24 - We fly back to "Y". Pr@y for all the logistics as we travel, no loss of luggage, and safe flights in the country. Continue to pr@y for the spiritual and physical health of the team.
Gal 6:9 “Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we shall reap if we do not grow weary.”
Sunday, October 25 - Morning: Attending a church in "Y". Pr@y for our last day in Myanmar, that we might be able to evaluate our work, and encourage the workers and staff in "Y". Our flight home is more than 28 hours. We fly out at 11 PM, back to Beijing where we will have a long layover.

Monday, October 26 - Beijing airport: leave at 1 PM, fly through JFK, and return to Greensboro. Thank the L*rd for His amazing grace, safety and protection as we travel, and endurance for the long flight home. Pr@y for continued health as we travel.
